Three steps, from first enquiry to a structured block.

The Method

A private coaching system, built around your body, your goals and your current level.

Most people do not stop training for lack of motivation. They stop because the training has no structure, no progression and no honest feedback. The four stages below are built to remove exactly that.

i.

Assessment

Movement screen, current strength baseline, goals and history. The starting point is honest, not flattering.

ii.

Technique

Every lift, every position, every transition. Coached in detail until it is repeatable under load and over time.

iii.

Progression

Programmed progressive overload across weeks and blocks. Heavier, cleaner, more controlled, in a measurable way.

iv.

Accountability

Session tracking, written feedback, and direct contact between sessions. Consistency becomes structural, not motivational.

Coaching is not for everyone. That is the point.

  • You are looking for the cheapest option.

  • You expect quick fixes or a guaranteed transformation.
  • You prefer a busy commercial gym.

About

A coach with a training background of his own.

I came from a corporate background in Oslo and now coach full time. Before moving to Cyprus, I worked as a personal trainer at SATS, one of Scandinavia's largest gym groups, coaching private clients across a wide range of ages and goals. My own training is rooted in calisthenics and strength: muscle-ups, weighted pull-ups, handstands, rings and parallettes, built over years of structured practice.

Over time, I also saw how often progress is limited by what happens outside the session: nutrition, sleep, recovery and daily consistency. That shaped how I coach now: the training still matters, but it sits inside a wider structure built around the person, not just the workout.

"I coach the way I train: structured, precise, and focused on long-term progress."

What clients have said about training together.

As an athletic 51-year-old who thrives on new challenges, I came into calisthenics with limited experience and high expectations. I value precision and proper execution, and Ruben delivered exactly that. His coaching is technical, structured and highly detailed, every movement has a clear purpose. What I appreciated most is that he doesn't just tell you what to do; he makes sure you understand how and why. I achieved my goals, including mastering a handstand, and now have a clear understanding of how to keep progressing on my own.

When I started training with Ruben in January, I had pain in my right shoulder and wasn't sure how much I could push myself. He adapted the exercises to suit me, increased the load gradually, and over time the pain disappeared. He also challenged me to lift heavier than I would have done on my own. After four months, I'm noticeably stronger.

May Britt L. 69 · Retired · Oslo

I came to Ruben with a specific goal: to learn the basics of calisthenics and work toward my first pull-up. From the very first session, he impressed me with his knowledge of bodyweight training and his ability to tailor each workout to my current level. He never pushed too hard or too little, the progression felt just right. I'm still working toward my first full pull-up, but with Ruben's structured approach, I can feel myself getting closer every week.

Kjetil L. 38 · Consultant · Oslo

At 67, I wanted a clear structure for building strength, stamina and long-term health. Ruben gave me exactly that. We trained twice a week, and over time I made very good progress across all the areas we focused on. I became stronger, my clothes started to feel looser, and I could see that I had gained muscle. Ruben was professional, considerate and very attentive to my technique, always giving clear corrections when needed. I now feel well equipped to continue training on my own.

Per A. 67 · Senior Manager · Oslo

I have been active since the aerobic age and have always done group classes, but I lacked strength and was tired of wear-and-tear injuries. I needed a personal trainer who really saw me. I also wanted to feel more comfortable around the gym equipment area, so I could train on my own when travelling. Ruben was demanding, yet calm and educational, and professional in an empathetic and personal way. It is very rewarding to feel that I am on a better path and have gained strength.

Massi B. 62 · Flight Attendant · Oslo

I can honestly say that Ruben has made a real difference for me. He is genuinely skilled, ambitious and knows exactly how to push you so you get that little extra, without tipping over the edge. What sets him apart is the follow-up. You feel seen, supported and motivated all the way through. His advice is concrete and practical, the kind you can actually follow in a busy life. It does not feel like a standard program. It feels personal. And it works.
